List some phrases that you hear your spouse (or other family member) saying a lot. Or, for something different, take note of some of the funny things that come out of the mouths of the kids in your life!
James says the funniest things.
When he was little (about 2) he called butterflies, "brocliflies". I have a funny feeling that it was because we were growing brocolli in the garden at that time. Of course those plants are just calling out to every white butterfly in existence & there were tons of butterflies on them. I think James put two & two together & got brocliflies. Quite funny really but when you think about it it seems a better name for them than butterflies. Why are they called butterflies? I've never seen one land on butter. What has the butter part got to do with the name. Maybe it is actually one of those many English words that has it's derivation from another language & then got corrupted.
In October last year the poor boy was obviously on some kind of growth spurt & was having long afternoon naps. When he woke up after a long nap he walked into a door at mum's. I asked him if he had his eyes switched on & he said he did but his "brain cogs aren't working!" LOL

Brain cogs..... LOL what a riot. Love the phrase and will have to remember that one.
Aren't they funny. So cool to write this stuff down as, believe me, you do forget as they get older.
